Wes Owens, 74, of Brookport, passed away at 3:15 p.m. on Saturday, March 22, 2025, at the Rosiclare Rehab and Health Care Center.Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2025, in Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery. with Rev. Allen Bolland officiating.He was a retired machinist with Laidlaw Corporation, a member of the Moose Lodge in Metropolis and an avid hunter and fisherman.Wes is survived by his wife of 45 years, Flora (Latham) Owens; seven children, Harley Wesley Owens (Kimberly), Kevin Owens (Carolyn), William Henderson Jr. (Bennetta), Sheila Henderson, Lisa Stevens (Homer), Shawna Larrison (Ricky), and Didi Jerdon (Lance); bonus daughter, Sandy Obermark; 18 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one sister, Delores Taylor; several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Harley Lee and Jeanie (Cordes) Owens; one sister, Shirley Kotter; two brothers, Donald LaFond and Stanley Owens.Pallbearers were Hunter Owens, Michael Klo
