Norman Ellerbusch, 86 of Metropolis, IL, formerly of Tuscola, IL, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2025 at Mercy Health Paducah.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Timothy A. Bean officiating. Burial will follow in St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Norman was a Navy veteran and a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church. He worked for Trunkline Gas in both Tuscola and Joppa for 35 years before retiring. Norman was lovingly known by many in the community as "Uncle Norman", whether it was by blood or not. He enjoyed his church and church family but what he loved most was being a grandpa.
Norman is survived by his son, Steve Ellerbusch and wife, Deena; two grandchildren, Ashlee Ginther, and husband Brad, and Paul Ellerbusch; one brother, Marvin Ellerbusch and wife, Diane; brother-in-law, Gene Myrick; nieces and nephews, Joyce Melcher, Janet Burnett, Debora Reagor, Ben Schmidt, Charlie Schmidt
