METROPOLIS, Ill. - John Edward Rogers, 73, of Metropolis, passed away at 4:18 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the Metropolis Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center surrounded by his family.Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Joe Meyer officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.John was a retired farmer and was of the Christian faith.John is survived by his daughter, Angel Gore and husband Kyle; grandchildren, Danielle Higgins and Tori Brame; great grandchildren, Chayden Brame, Landon McGregor, London McGregor, Sawyer Ferguson, Emersyn Ferguson, and Dawson Ferguson; sister, LouAnn Jaco; nephews, Travis Jaco and wife Crystal and David Jaco; niece, Faith Jaco; great nephews, Dylan Jaco, Coy Jaco, and Kage Jaco; and great niece, Angel Jaco.John was preceded in death by his parents, John Robert Rogers and Alberta (Deasel) Rogers Wallace; stepfather, Bill Wallace; daughter, Melanie Borders;
