METROPOLIS, Ill. - Elaine 'Grandma Doc' (Maddox) Myrick, 69, of Metropolis, passed away at 5:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2025, at her home.Funeral services will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2025, at the Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Royce Lamarr and Bob Myrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Elaine was a very loving and nurturing wife, mother, grandmother, sister, who adored her family and her cats.Elaine is survived by her husband of 32 years, Jim Myrick; children, Deshae Hale, Deann "Pooh" Metcalf and husband Dusty, and Nick Myrick (Jerrye); seven grandchildren, Michael Jacobs, Matt Jacobs, Brayden Campbell, Kelsey Johnson, Allyson Myrick, Olivia Myrick, and Izzy Myrick; seven great-grandchildren; sisters, Leslie LaBelle and husband Ray and Gayle Lamarr and husband Royce; nephew, Jim LaBelle; niece, Lisa Burnham; many friends.Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Lester O. and June E.
