John A. Guynn, 75 of Massac County, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2025, at Mercy Health - Lourdes Hospital.Services will be held at a later date.John was retired from Riverwood International in Kankakee. He was a member of the Machinist Union, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was a member of Waldo Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He served his country in the United States Army 101st Airborne as a specialist 4 during the Vietnam War, where he was awarded the Bronze Star.John is survived by his children, Thomas Guynn, Matthew Guynn and wife Janie, and Samantha Lillard and husband Jeff; grandchildren, John Alexander, Kierstan, Kylie, Kaden, Deacon, and Wrigley; siblings, Peggy Irwin, Benny Guynn (Barbara), Gale "Doc" Guynn, Joan Witham, Karen Perzee (Cliff), and Margo Wiley; several nieces and nephews.John was preceded in death by his parents, Rev.
