Ruth Ann (Oliver) Hunt, 82, of Metropolis, passed away at 8:03 p.m. Saturday, Aug 3, 2024, at Southgate Nursing and Rehabilitation Center with her family by her side. Ruth was born on Feb. 14, 1942, in Karnak, the daughter of Henry and Geraldine (Harris) Oliver. She married the love of her life, Robert "Bob" Hunt Jr. on Oct. 26, 1962.Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 8, 2024, at the Metropolis Memorial Gardens with Jack Russell officiating.Ruth was a member of Waldo Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing, genealogy and hummingbirds. Ruth was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed.Ruth is survived by her son, John Hunt and wife Robin; grandchildren, Jacob Hunt, Jordan Hunt (Julia); great grandchildren, Harper Hunt and Julian Hunt; bonus great grandchildren, Madison Sullivan and Selena Cepeda; brothers, Don Oliver and Charles Oliver (Jerry); sister-in-law, Joan Spencer; several nieces and nephews.Ruth was preceded in
