BROOKPORT, Ill. - David "Bean" Phillips, 73, of Brookport, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at Baptist Health Paducah.Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 27, at Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Charlie Kilpatrick officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Sterling Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Brookport.David was a nurse for Baptist Health Paducah for 25 years before his retirement in 2012 and a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of Christ. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the Metropolis Country Club. David was an avid Cardinals fan who didn't miss a game and loved music. What he enjoyed most, though, was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.David is survived by his daughter, Toni Mayo; "adopted" daughter, Caydi Mescher; grandchildren, Ali Wiley, Tristen Hoxworth, and Cory Kindred; great-grandchildren, Alex Wolfe, Adler Shew, and Aubree Wiley; sister, Carol Neely; and several nieces and nephe
