Patricia Ann Monday, 81 of Metropolis, passed away at 5:11 p.m. Sunday, July 7, 2024, at Heartland Medical Regional Center in Marion. She was born on April 27, 1943, to Ernest Tanner and Anne Tanner (Rutledge).Patricia is survived by her uncle, Bill Tanner (Evelyn); aunt, Deloris Tanner; nephews, Chris Tanner and Michael Tanner; several cousins, Chris Tanner, Gerald Tanner, Rick Tanner, Steve Tanner, Lisa Sternberg, Brian Tanner, Brenda Tanner, Bonnie Yates; special friends, Sharon Glass and Pat Blackwell.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Anne (Rutledge) Tanner; husband, Glen Monday; two brothers, Timothy Tanner and Mickey Tanner.Patricia was of Methodist faith and a member of the American Legion along with her late husband Glen. She was known for her passion for painting, reading and loved Elvis Presley's music. She was known for her lively sense of humor and playful pranks and was a joy to be around.
