Emma Louise Hanak, 99 of Brookport, formerly of Ronkonkoma, New York, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024, at her home.Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 2024, at the Loftus-McManus Brookport Funeral Home with Tim Pearcy officiating.Emma was a founding member of the Lakeland Fire Department Women's Auxiliary where she served as president and secretary. She was a girl scout leader, a polling judge during elections, and loved camping with her family in upstate New York. She would go on rides with her husband, Les, to the North and South shores to fish and collect clams to cook. Emma enjoyed the "Reli Rallies" (family gatherings) that they would host while in New York and spent much time canning all of the wonderful fruits and vegetables such as beets, green beans, corn, apples, raspberries and strawberries Les grew in his big garden.Emma is survived by her son, Leslie Hanak and wife Nancy; daughter, Andrea Douglas; seven grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great-gr
