Rachel Ann Carnes, 43 of Metropolis, IL, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2024 at her home. She was born on March 24th, 1981 to Earnest Carnes and Linda Harris Carnes.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
Rachel is survived by her father, Earnest and step-mother, Vickie; one sister, Adreanne Carnes (Bryan); three brothers, Earnest Carnes (Rhonda), James Carnes (Angela), Mike Carnes (Connie) all of Metropolis; one aunt, Johnnie DeMarco (Vincent) of Joppa; special friend, Lisa Burnett; her furbabies, Winston and Totcho; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Harris Blankenship; grandparents, Jack and Evelyn Harris and Earnest "Snooks" and Myrtle Carnes; three sisters, Terri Zervas and infant twins, Natalie and Nicole Carnes; three brothers, Michael Zervas, Jeff Carnes, and infant, Justin Hardy Carnes; aunts, Terry Roman, Jackie Caccioppo, Pauline Carnes, Freda Carnes, Margrete Heflin, Roberta Fletcher and Marie Carne
