Charles "Eddie" Williams, 90 of Metropolis, passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2024, at the Ray and Kay Eckstein Hospice Care Center.Graveside services were held at 9 a.m. Friday, May 31, at Metropolis Memorial Gardens.Steve Karraker officiated.Eddie was the owner and operator of Williams Lawn and Garden, a member of Metropolis Church of Christ, and a United States Army veteran.Eddie is survived by his wife of 66 years, Virginia Williams; one daughter, Karen Williams Eleam; one grandson, William Eleam; two brothers, Wayman Williams and Stanley Williams (Sherry); and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lurlean (Henderson) Williams; two sons, Gary Williams and Keith Williams; and one brother, Randy Williams.Memorial contributions may be given in Eddie's name to the Tourette Association of America, 42-40 Bell Boulevard, Suite 205, Bayside, NY, 11361; or Vanderbilt Adult Neurology, 1211 Medical Center Drive, Nashville, Tennessee 37232.Arrangements
